Gergo Borlai played Aerodrums to a live audience of 4,000 (and thousands more online) at the opening of Intel’s Developer Forum in San Francisco on August the 16th. The performance was part of a set with Kevin Doucette, and DJs QBert and Killa-Jewel from Thud Rumble. It was the first time the instrument was played to a large live audience.
The performance included visual representations of the innovative instruments being played. The animated Aerodrums drum set was displayed in virtual and mixed reality. The drum sticks were fitted with Intel Curie chips, enhancing the visualization of the air drums.
