Why air drumming works

Natural playing. Great dynamics.

We know it’s a bold claim to say that Aerodrums plays just like a drum set: It will never be possible for digital drums to feel exactly like an acoustic set. But we say that because the layout and the music you can play are the same.

And because it is a fact that air drumming allows you to play very fast, and to feel the hits by letting your palm stop the drumstick. It is also good for your drumming.

Drumsticks and pedals

The drum sticks feel just like traditional drum sticks. There are no electronics on the sticks, just a reflective ball at the tip. The ball is feather light, so you can’t feel the difference. You wear a pair of reflectors on your feet to play the pedals.

Low latency sensor

Each Aerodrums instrument comes with a high speed motion sensor. It captures the movement of your stick and foot reflectors fast enough that you don’t feel any delay while drumming.
