aerodrums 2 - low light environments

Post by phrgoingwiththeflo » Wed Jan 07, 2026 6:17 am

hi .......... ive read an artical about the aerodrums 1 and how the camera is ultra bright ......... this put me off looking into purchasing the aero drums 1 completely ......and theres no way im wearing those glasses to compensate .............. i dont wear glasses in everyday life , and i dont intend to start wearing glasses for aerodrums ....... it wud be too much ov a distraction .........so wen i read about aerodrums 2 using infra red , i wondered if aerodrums 2 uses a different camera technology to aerodrums 1 , and im wondering if this is the case , is the camera now completely unlit to the perseptive eye .........i enjoy very low light environments during the night tyme , and dont enjoy bright lights ov any kind during night tyme hours .......

Yes, Aerodrums 2 uses infrared light that is invisible to the human eye. It will work equally well in a pitch black room and outdoors in daylight.

sounds good ........ just to be absolutely sure then ............if i wur to drum with an rgb 12w led ceiling light set to dim red , wud the room stay lit exactly the same wen i turned the aerodrum camera on ..... is it JUST INVISABLE INFRARED light that the camera uses , or does it iluminate with any visable light eminating from the camera in addition to the infrared light ........ i definatly dont want it to be anything close to the brightness of the aerodrums version one ........... or is the aerodrums 2 completely non apparent if its on or off apart from i guess a small led showing that its powered on perhaps like that ov an led on a tv to show that its on or off ...... i dont like flashing lights either ( even if small ones ) ....... i often put a sticky label over any led lights that flash , and that does the trick ov getting rid ov any flashing ....... thanks for yor previous reply ....... if eezee for u , i wud be interested to hear from u again in reply to this reply ov mine .... best wishes

That's correct. There is no visible light emitted from the device apart from a green LED indicating it's turned on. But like you said you can put some tape over that if you want to hide it.
