Using a real bass pedal with Aerodrums is great
Using a real bass pedal with Aerodrums is great
If anyone has an extra bass drum pedal they would like to use with Aerodrums, it's very simple to modify (without damage), is way easier than you'd think and works great. See picture attached. I only needed to purchase 2 things: a metal rod from a hardware store and a wood doll head from a craft store. I mounted the pedal on a piece of wood, using its own clamp at the front. It's completely and quickly removable, with no damage to the pedal. Then bent the metal rod and attached the doll head to the end. I found some old foam pieces lying around and glued them to the wood. They can be removed as the foam breaks down with use. It's quiet enough that you barely hear the hits. This makes a real difference to me when playing, and feels much more like an actual kit.

That's cool - I never considered DIY'ing a reverse beater from a metal rod but it looks like it works well. Good job!
