Can someone briefly explain to me how to do a Factory Reset without losing Customised Kits/Settings, please?
Thank you!
Factory Reset Without Losing Customised Kits & Settings
Re: Factory Reset Without Losing Customised Kits & Settings
Hi, it's not possible to do this yet but it's on our development roadmap to add the ability to backup and restore settings & kits from the app.
I'm curious to know if you need(ed) to do a factory reset and, if so, why?

Okay, thank you Richard,
I naiively assumed that all custom kits/settings would be retained within the app.
I should have checked with you first because I lost a heavily customised kit in the factory reset process.
The problem I was having was that the kick drum was somewhat glitchy.
I was getting double/triple kick drum sounds fired off in quick succession with only a single input.
First, I cleaned the foot markers, as well as rebooting the camera and app, but those measures didn't solve the problem.
I normally play without footwear, but this time I was wearing trainers - and I've just discovered that the white 'N' logo stitched on the sides of my New Balance trainers are slightly reflective.
Everything's working fine now (as long as I don't wear those trainers).
Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks for the explanation. Yes, even though Aerodrums 2 doesn't have the lighting issues that Aerodrums 1 has, you still need to be careful with objects that could reflect too much infrared light back into the Aerodrums 2 sensor. That could include mirrors, glass doors, metallic objects, or retro-reflective materials - which seems to be case with your trainers.
In general, it should never be necessary to do a factory reset to fix an issue. If it is, it's a bug. That's why I was curious to know the reason for performing the reset.
