aero drums 2 - camera placement

does the camera need to be on the included tripod stand , or cud it be placed , as in my prefered places such as on the first shelf off the ground at 36 cm high , sitting below the second shelf wair the tv sits OR my other prefered placement ov gripped on an extendable arm above the tv .........where do the leads such as power and audio out appear from the camera module ? ...... from the back or base or left or right side or top ?

Each Aerodrums 2 device is carefully calibrated using the stand that ships with it to ensure accurate tracking of the drumsticks. The stand is therefore required, as it positions the device at the correct height and tilt angle. About the cables, these all plug in at the bottom of the device.

ok , thanks for yor reply ........ i recon that i might just be able to squeeze it in to an area below the tv ........... what is the total height from the floor to the top ov the module ? ......... also , wot is the height from the floor to the base ov the module ? ............ cud i replicate its height and tilt angle using a sturdy clamp arm that i cud attach to a sturdy post , so that i dont have to have a floor stand below the tv , as i have another piece ov equipment below the tv , and although i may be able to squueze the stand behind this other piece ov equipment , it wud be good to know ov other options ........ also wot requirements is there for distance from drummer to the module ......... is it one fixed distance or is there leverage between the smallest distance and a maximum distance ..... best wishes

The distance from floor to top of device is ~50cm, distance to bottom of device is ~42cm. The device projects red laser dots onto the floor to show where the center of your snare drum is. The distance along the floor to this point is ~105cm.

In theory it would be possible to replicate the position and tilt of the device by marking where the laser dots land on the floor using the proper stand. Then trying to position and orient the device to match those dots using a clamp arm. In practice though, this might be quite tricky.
