How to copy and paste?

Post by guarionex » Sat Jul 12, 2025 4:15 pm

Hello all,

I created a simple drum beat. I am able to select the section, but I am not sure how to paste it. I watched the video, however is not clear to me on how to paste.

Thanks in advance,

I'm sorry, I missed this message.

You can drag-select notes in the editor pane and copy/cut them using the usual shortcuts (ctrl+c / ctrl+x).

If you then hold down the ctrl key you will get a preview of what the notation would look like if you pasted the notes at the current location. To actually paste the notes, left click or press space (while still holding down ctrl).

Hi! After selecting the section, use Ctrl+C (or Cmd+C on Mac) to copy, then move the playhead where you want it and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V) to paste. I remember showing a friend in Dubai the same trick when he was starting out—it makes arranging beats much faster once you get used to it.
