Hello everyone!
Is it possible to use buzz stroke and rimshot also via midi?
I searched in the aerodrums midi map, but I don't seem to have found them.
I would also like to know if it is or will be possible to use the Aerodrums drumkits via PC and sound card.
Good week to everybody!

Re: Aerodrums 2, buzz stroke and rimshot via midi
The buzz stroke is something specific to Aerodrums so currently it will send the same MIDI note as if you had hit the drum normally. Is it possible to use buzz stroke and rimshot also via midi?
For rimshot hits, a different note is sent. In the MIDI panel in the Aerodrums 2 app you can see that, for each drum, there are two notes and a speed threshold. In the case of the snare, one note corresponds to a normal hit, the other note corresponds to a rimshot hit, and the speed threshold defines how hard you need to hit before it will send the rimshot note instead of the normal note.
I am not sure what you are asking here. Do you mean connecting your Aerodrums 2 device to your PC? If so, you could connect a cable from the headphone jack of Aerodrums 2 to the line-in jack on your PC (if you have one). At some point we will probably add support for transmitting audio from the USB-C port on the Aerodrums 2 device but that's not implemented yet.I would also like to know if it is or will be possible to use the Aerodrums drumkits via PC and sound card.

I am referring to the possibility of being able to use a sound card also for the Aerodrums kits and the playback of audio files, as in Aerodrums 1.I am not sure what you are asking here. Using Aerodrums2 without a PC and card, as is normal, the sound quality is not very good. In particular regarding the low frequencies.
If you could manage everything, even the app, via USB it would be wonderful. I would also have a free internet connection.
Have a nice week!

You can export your recordings to wav format from the app running on your PC. You will then have those files locally on your PC. But to answer your question, no, we haven't made any PC software or VST plugin that supports triggering the Aerodrums 2 sounds directly.
Regarding using USB, there are two different things here:
One is outputting the audio over USB so that it can be played through your PC's sound card. This is something we plan to do.
The other is supporting connecting the device running the app to the Aerodrums 2 device using USB as an alternative to using WiFi. This idea has been brought up before and we will consider adding it.
Regarding internet connection, this is only an issue if you are using the Aerodrums 2 hotspot for your connection. You can instead use the app to tell Aerodrums 2 to connect to the same WiFi that the device running the app is using. This will let you use the internet at the same time as the app is running. (Note: Aerodrums 2 only uses WiFi to communicate with the Aerodrums 2 app. It does not access the internet itself.)
