hi.
i'm very interested in buying aerodrums.
i bought the freedrums v1 and 2, and both drifted terribly and were unplayable.
with motion tracking i'm hoping for a more accurate experience.
that said.
i want to use aerodrums to trigger my hardware drum module, not just another software app on my computer.
ideally through mac usb midi.
i've msg'd aerodrums.
left voice messages, sent emails, left chat questions.
but have received no response or acknowledgement.
the manual only seems to cover midi software ports.
i need to send midi from aerodrums out into the real world and trigger external hardware drum modules.
howcanthis be done?
is it possible?
if not.
aerodrums will not be the solution i can use.
thx
randy
aerodrums play over hardware midi to external midi usb?
Re: aerodrums play over hardware midi to external midi usb?
Hi Randy, you should have received a reply from my colleague Maria last week with answers to your questions.
About triggering an external drum module, I don't have experience myself setting this up but one of our users was able to trigger his Yamaha DTX400 module by connecting it to his computer with a USB cable. See here:

It's not clear if Roland modules will work the same way. If they support receiving MIDI and triggering from that then it should work.

If you are speaking about Aerodrums 1.X, I was able to trigger a TD-30 module, but from a Windows computer. The TD-30 appears as an audio and a MIDI device in Aerodrums (Windows).
