Double bass/crash notation

Post by Hetzio » Thu Feb 04, 2016 9:50 pm

Hello!
I downloaded the software and it is great! Thank you very much for developing it.
My question is whether there is a way of notating two different bass drums (One on the bottom gap, like the normal bass drum, and one on the lowest line of the stave)?
Same goes for two different crash cymbals (when I want to notate two crash cymbals simultaneously).

Thanks again!

Hi, you can set up a second bass drum on the lowest staff line by clicking the 'Preferences' button, then clicking on the 'Notation Key' tab and for the 'Kick 2' row you will want to select the desired staff line (indicated by a blue screen) and select the corresponding symbol you want to use (indicated by an orange square).

Make sure you click the 'Save' button if you want these changes to persist between runs of Aered.

Unfortunately, Aered doesn't come with samples for Kick 2 so the only way to hear Kick 2 would be to point Aered to your own .wav files. This can be done from the 'Drum Samples' tab. Fixing this is on our todo list. Thanks.
