Physical Hihat and Bass Pedals?

Hi folks,

Still loving Aerodrums 2 but I was considering getting physical pedals to use with it. They work great as is on my feet but I think having something physical there to ground me would be even better

The kick pedal setup seems fairly straightforward but I was wondering if anyone has ever set up a physical hihat pedal?

Most are attached to the stand, which this wouldn't need. I wonder if anyone ever tried using a second bass drum pedal as a hihat pedal? Basically do the reverse beater setup and use that.

Not sure how that would "feel" though I suspect it would work...

Any specific pedal or hardware recommendations would be appreciated.

Hi Aaron,

I often use 2 Janerock Kick Drum Practice Pads as my bass drum and hi-hat pedals. I replaced the rubber foam on the kick pedal to softer foam, which is more realistic feel for a kick. The hi hat I left as supplied as its quite a bit harder, and I think it feels much more natural for a hi hat with it being a lot firmer.
As far as tracking goes it works perfectly for me. The Janerock pads I got from Amazon, however there are one or 2 even cheaper Temu alternatives available now should you wish to experiment. Here's a short vid of them in action...
