Steven Slate Drums 5.5

Post by Wolfgang » Wed Dec 02, 2020 12:03 am

I took advantage of a Black Friday offer to buy myself Steven Slate Drums 5.5, but I found that the midi map for Steven Slate drums 4 no longer works with 5.5. So I made my own and I want to share it with everyone who needs it. Just set Aerodrums to it’s default map and open my map (Aerodrums.iom) in SSD5.5’s map editor. I had to pack my map file into a zip archive because .iom isn’t an allowed extension to upload here. To use you need to unzip before.

There is a free version of SSD 5.5 available you can find here:
https://stevenslatedrums.com/ssd-free/
It’s a never expiring test version with all features but with just one (well sounding) kit.

For using this without a DAW you can use VSTHost

Hello!
Could you explain - how does it work?
I've installed a free version of SSD 5.5 and VSTHost. But can't see SSD 5.5 inside the VSTHost...
I'd like to use SSD 5.5 like standalone app.

Many thanks for your answer!!!

You need to tell VSTHost where to find your plugins. You can do this in the menu file / Set PlugIn Path.
