Most likely this question is for Richard..
None of the three options allow you to get ridbecause of parasitic sounds.
It seems like it doesn't work at all.
Neither when playing autonomously, nor when using DAW. This is especially true for the snare drum, the left hand is always dangling above it
Maybe there is some way to change this programmatically?
I tried to reduce the sensitivity threshold in the configuration file(drumkit.cfg) - the result was negative. (By the way - I changed it in the file itself, because if you do this in the program itself, sometimes it is impossible to save the setting, because the "confirmation" button goes far to the left and it is impossible to "press" it.
Any advice is welcome

The Drum Hit Sensitivity setting determines the hit speed threshold below which hits won't be heard. It is tricky to do a better with filtering out notes than this because some drummers will want to be able to play very quiet ghost notes and will be able to keep their hand still when not playing.

Generally this issue is likely to be worse when using a DAW/MIDI. This is because when using the built-in Aerodrums samples, the volume of hits ramps up from zero so if you make an extremely quiet hit, the sound you hear will also be extremely quiet. Whereas with drum VSTs, it is usually the case that the quietest sound you can trigger is still relatively loud. So I would expect the problem you're describing to be less obvious when using Aerodrums' built-in sounds. In case you missed it, there is a setting in Adjust Drums -> MIDI where you can set an additional filtering value on a per drum basis. So in the case of MIDI you might want to try experimenting with the slider there after selecting the snare drum.

Regardless, I would have expected the 'Beginner' option to remove the unintended hits that are occurring for you when holding your left hand above the snare. If it's not working well, feel free to share/send us a video capture of the drumming screen so we can understand better what's going on. Thanks.

Thanks for the answer.
Of course, I looked through all possible instructions - I turned the snare drum sensitivity down to the minimum and also in the midi settings. The "Beginner" level is set, but there is still a parasitic sound. I took a short video and a photo of my setup, but I can't post it here. Maybe I can get your email?

For the MIDI note filtering slider, the higher the value the more aggressively notes will be filtered out. If you set it to zero then the MIDI note filtering will be effectively disabled.

So if you set the snare drum slider to a high value can you confirm that you no longer hear any snare hits? Assuming the answer is yes then you should decrease the slider value until you reach the point where normal hits are kept but hits like in your video are filtered out.

By trial and error I realized that a higher MIDI value reduces the probability of accidental hits. I did so - to the maximum. The situation improved a little - but it is still very difficult to get more silence. But in the video - using the original sound (not MIDI) and as you can see with a slight pass over the drum - there is sound.

So when triggering drums through your DAW using MIDI only (not using sound from Aerodrums), you set the snare drum MIDI filter slider to the maximum value (100%). But it still triggers unintended snare hits when moving the stick around. Is that correct?
