macOS Catalina compatibility

Post by Richard » Thu Oct 17, 2019 11:23 am

If you have updated your Mac to 10.15 (Catalina) you may get an error about missing fonts when running Aered.

Aered expects to find these fonts in /Library/Fonts but they have been moved to another folder with this OS update.

Until we release a software update, the workaround for now is to copy these files:
/System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/Verdana.ttf
/System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/Verdana Bold.ttf
/System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/Arial Bold.ttf
into the folder:
/Library/Fonts

You should duplicate the font files in the new location by copying and pasting them, rather than attempting to move them.

The problem was that I tried to move them into the folder system/library/fonts not library/fonts... now it works, thanks
