Re: Oculus Rift sighted

Hi, to answer your questions: - It's the same version of Aerodrums. - The position of the virtual sticks matches the real ones closely; their orientation can deviate at times but this isn't very noticeable when playing. - Your custom Aerodrums kit will be mirrored in the 3D display as you would expe...

Re: Ableton Drum Rack HI-HAT pedal control

Hi, I'm not familiar with the Ableton drum rack but it sounds like it could be the same problem described here:

I will PM you instructions on how to enable the workaround in Aerodrums if you want to try it out.

Re: Tuned Percussion

Aerodrums doesn't currently have support for tuned percussion out of the box but we are improving our MIDI support to allow specification of which MIDI notes get sent when different elements are hit. As part of this we plan to test instruments like vibraphone and glockenspiel.

Re: Included sticks size?

Sorry for the late reply. While the Aerodrums sticks have a custom weight distribution to compensate for the ball's weight, the sticks we use are closest to 7A.

Re: Left handed

Hi Giacomo, sorry for the delay in replying. Yes, Aerodrums fully supports left-handed kits and all of the preset drum kits have left-handed versions.

Re: how to not trigger a tom on a snare upstroke?

The spurious hits you describe on the tom should definitely not occur if Aerodrums is configured properly - Aerodrums only triggers hits on the downstrokes. Note that this means if you swing your stick back too far, it can start making a downward trajectory again resulting in a false hit. If you sus...

Re: Kitcore by Sonoma requires hit control info

Hi Al, some other users had an issue with an ekit called MT Power Drum Kit 2 because it does not seem to support a MIDI continuous controller for specifying the hi-hat openness. We added a hack to workaround this. It sounds like you might be experiencing the same problem. I'm sending you a PM with i...

Re: Stick sensors?

The balls at the ends of the sticks that come with Aerodrums are glued on so not easily removed. However, you also get a ball replacement kit which includes a pair of extra balls and glue. This is intended either for repairing the Aerodrums sticks in case of accidental damage or for converting your ...

Re: [Feature Request] Improvements on drums positioning syst

Thanks for the suggestion. The idea of using the mouse to select and drag drums around on the screen would make a lot of sense if it wasn't for the fact that the drums have a position in 3D space, not 2D. That's why, in the current version, we require you to use a drum stick for positioning since it...
