Re: Triggering percussion VST:s with hands alone
This is something we want to experiment with but haven't got to it yet. In theory it should work fine out of the box but in practice I don't know just how well it will work without tuning some of the internal parameters that are set for playing with sticks. If you have Aerodrums and want to try it, ...

Re: Hi hat help
Thanks, glad I could help. If your solution is working for you then I would stick to that. Like I said, the fix I proposed will limit you to either fully open or fully closed hi-hats so not ideal.

Re: Hi hat help
Aerodrums uses a MIDI continuous controller (CC4) to output the hi-hat openness. Most software handles this fine but we have seen a couple of instances where the software isn't configured to respond to this. It sounds like you're having the same problem. A while back we introduced a hidden workaroun...

Re: Two major problems
Yes, Mac OS X doesn't have this problem. It allows very low latency audio without interfering with the audio output of other applications.

Re: Drum response area larger than the drum on the screen
I should also add that the way Aerodrums works, if you make a hitting gesture with a stick, you will always trigger a sound. The sound triggered will correspond to the drum or cymbal nearest the stick when you made the hit. So you should be aware that you don't need to hit the hi-hat in the middle. ...

Re: Drum response area larger than the drum on the screen
Hi Ian, If drums are being triggered when the sticks aren't in view of the camera then it is likely that you have bright objects in the background that Aerodrums thinks could be the sticks. The setup process should detect this and highlight these regions for you in red on top of the greyscale camera...

Re: Problem installing camera driver
Sorry about this issue. We're still trying to get to the bottom of it but it seems to only happen with the most recent version of the camera driver installer on Vista.
Could you try this version instead and let us know if it works. Thanks.

Re: Two major problems
Hi Per, Aerodrums doesn't access the internet at all. The issue you're seeing is an audio issue. The Exclusive WASAPI setting in Aerodrums takes exclusive control over the sound card. This prevents other applications such as your internet browser from outputting audio and in some cases an applicatio...
