Re: There is no rebound.

If the wrist is moving, it just needs to execute a small force perpendicular to the butt of the stick at the palm which will propel the tip of the stick upwards thanks to the mechanical advantage afforded by the distance between the palm and the fulcrum. It's very little force so you may not notice...

Re: There is no rebound.

There is some subtlety to the motion that I am doing when I perform double strokes. I didn't explain this in the Kickstarter post because at no point have I consciously practiced or executed these motions. I think it's just one of those muscle optimization things that your body does instinctively. I...

Re: There is no rebound.

Thanks a lot for this post. I think we got stuck talking about "rebound" in the past because everyone seemed to refer to it as such. I think the truth is that people's main concern with air drumming is less about rebound and more about the lack of feeling like you're hitting something. Recently we'v...

Re: light configuration

I'm sorry about this issue. The lens on the lamp has become dislodged. You can fix this easily as follows: - place the lamp flat on a table with the black plastic part in contact with the table, not the LED ring - place a piece of clean cloth or tissue over your thumb - push the lens down with your ...

Re: doesnt start on Win10

It might be that your computer doesn't have OpenGL 2.0 support.

This older version of Aered might work:

Re: Aerodrums 2

@JesDes To your questions about Aerodrums 2 (sorry for the delay): There is some error in our measurement process so it's hard to be precise but it ends up being roughly the same as on the MacBook we use for testing. MacBooks give really good results in terms of audio latency with Aerodrums 1. In co...

Re: adding new elements - batch mode?

I'm not sure how useful this will be to you Wolfgang but here is a link to the Windows command-line program we use to make .ele files: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/d220gzoqpt1ko1i43xlou/make_ele.exe?rlkey=43dlbkur496925qdh0d1ma9k4&dl=0 It expects three parameters. The first is the output .ele file...

Re: Camera not working?

Hi Carl, it sounds like your issue is not related to camera drivers and you are able to get to the drumming screen by pressing the 'Drum' button. It occasionally happens that the lens inside the lamp gets dislodged. When this happens you will see something that looks like a ring of red blobs on the ...

Re: adding new elements - batch mode?

Sorry there is no way to create multiple elements at once in the Aerodrums software. We have separate command-line tools that we use internally to create element files. They haven't been released but I can share them with you if they would save you a lot of time. That's a very good point Wolfgang. W...
