Re: Visible Light LEDs
I attached the ping pong ball lights to the foot reflectors. No problem tracking there, as long as the light is diffused well enough and not intensively bright. I found my drumstick lights to be too bright so I've had to dull them down a bit as it was having difficulty tracking when I was hitting th...

Re: LED Markers - DIY Solution
Hi Slavedave, Here is my video, pardon my late night pyjamas! One LED was shorting out - you can see it was the really bright one due to it being faulty. I've ordered a new one. They are a really wide angle so the ball can diffuse the light nicely. I need to get some heat shrink to gather the wire. ...

Camera freeze on setup
On the current version of OSX the camera freezes when setting up the camera - it's where you line up yourself with the picture. You only get a few seconds before the picture hangs. Drumming is fine -it's just hard to line up your chair with a frozen picture. I hope this can be fixed on a new update....

LED Markers - DIY Solution
Hi guys - for those who want a DIY solution so you don't need the LED light on: I made some LED markers out of wide angle 1 watt 'grow led lights'. I used ping pong balls as the diffuser, melted a hole in the balls and then hot glued the ball to a drumstick. I then wired them up to a 3xAAA battery b...

Re: infrared leds
Hi Sipaliwini, No offense taken, I really love the drum set you guys have made and it works so well- my eyes just seem sensitive to bright LED lights, especially at night. My room is small with windows so I can only play at night due to the light coming from the windows, which is not the best setup....

Re: infrared leds
Well my lens and filter arrived. The lens and filter was easy to fit once the case was cracked open. The filter is visible light plus 850nm ir light so it can see ir led light. The field of view seems wider than the slip on lens that comes with the aerodrum light. I got a separate ir light off eBay....

Re: infrared leds
Hi Rom, After a bit of deliberation I ordered a 1.7mm lens, 850nm filter (stock standard for ir video camera lights on eBay) and an M12 mount to fit the lens on. It was a lot more than I estimated @ $92USD including shipping to Australia, though it should be good with no bright light. I'll let you k...

Re: infrared leds
From my rough calculations with image width and distance, a 1.9mm lens would be required to match the same focal distance of the aerodrum lens. Now to find an infra-red light...

Re: infrared leds
Hi Slavedave, peauproductions.com sells a range of PS Eye lenses and the ir filters. When you take the camera apart, you will have to put it in a new case that they have made specially to mount their M12 lenses. Its just a matter of picking the correct wide angle M12 lens that matches the same Aerod...
