Hi, to be honest we never considered this use case. The best way to support it would be through a VST plugin so that you could trigger the samples without running Aerodrums. Hi, it's not available yet. We had to slow down on Aered development for a while to take care of other matters. We will get back to it soon.

There is no plan to open source Aered yet. The main reason is that we are planning to integrate it with Aerodrums in the not too distant future and will be investing a lot of development resources back into Aered at that time.
