Re: Never have I been this frustratet in my live

Hi, I'm sorry to hear your initial experience was not good. We can definitely help you make it work as you were expecting. There are a couple of things to check: - Is the lens on the camera rotated fully to the right when facing you? (there are two field of view settings on the camera) - Did you mak...

Re: High Latency

Hi, I'm sorry for the long delay approving your post - I somehow missed it. The latency should be practically imperceptible when playing with the sticks so it does sound like you have a latency issue. I assume you are using Exclusive WASAPI as the audio device (set from the Aerodrums Latency screen)...

Re: Tie

Thanks for the example. There is obviously an implied hi-hat pedal note where the tie ends so to notate this in Aered I would just be explicit here and place a hi-hat pedal note on beat 4.

Re: Tie

There is no support for ties currently. You don't often see tied notes in drum notation - can I ask how you want to use them? Is it just a preference you have for notating rhythms (e.g. to make them easier to read), is it to indicate how long cymbals should ring for (until choked) or is it to indica...

Re: NUM Block

This is a bug. Thank you for pointing it out. We had assumed that the library we are using to handle input automatically responded to the num-lock state but it seems like it's not the case. I don't think there is a way to work around it so you will need to wait for an update.

Re: Sound distorted

That's strange. Normally I would attribute distorted sound to a computer performance issue. In that case I would suggest trying to increase the 'Buffer size' slider on the Latency screen to see if the distortion goes away. In your case it sounds like the problem might be something else. One possibil...

Re: Issues 'playing' aerodrums.

Nice, thanks for doing that test. The version with cross fades definitely doesn't sound unnatural in any way, to me. What I expect we will try is to have samples like yours and then, given the current hihat openness level, find the two samples that are closest to that openness level and take a linea...

Re: Issues 'playing' aerodrums.

What about upward strokes? Are those filtered out in any way? I can't reproduce for certain, but I feel that upward strokes can sometimes cause ghost hits. Hits aren't detected when the stick is moving up, only when it's moving down. However if you swing the stick back far enough (e.g. so the marke...

Re: Issues 'playing' aerodrums.

Interesting. I guess beginner makes it harder to play ghost notes then? Not that I’m aware of. It’s a threshold, not a sensitivity setting. In contrary of all electronic drums, Aerodrums doesn’t detect how hard you hit, but how fast you are doing it. Your ghost strokes should still be faster than n...
