Aerodrums and Aered forums

I haven't received my unit yet, but I think I've read somewhere that Aerodrums 2 will not play anything if you hit empty space. It's probably configurable how accurate you need to be, but in any case hitting far away from any drum will not trigger a sound.

Yes it is normal. The software will trigger a drum for every hit (to my knowledge).

Did you perhaps turn off the "Old style menu button" option in Preferences?

I measured 741 mm from the bottom of the lamp (white part) to the floor.

Thanks for the reply and good information! I can confirm that the instructions worked perfectly I didn't bother changing the element type, changing the category from hand to foot was enough.

Update: I decided to take the "record a sample from Aerodrums output and make a custom element out of it" route. Great success!

Still, if there's a simpler way to make a pedal element out of a stick element, maybe someone else is interested in the future, so please share your tips...

For one data point, I have Lenovo ThinkPad t450s with 8 GB of RAM. Notes on performance: I have been happy with this laptop, it runs Aerodrums without issues on AC wall power.
