Re: invisible light camera modification DIY (also for sale)
My video was actually shot right after I set everything up. I just made a simple three-piece kit. Took me twice to get the hang of positioning drums. I could have done it better the third and fourth time but I was interested in latency and adaptability. The flute band is playing this weekend so I ha...

Re: invisible light camera modification DIY (also for sale)
OK. Hooked the UV camera up to my seven year old MacBook Pro, i7 with 32g memory and graphics card. Built a simple three piece kit. Got my chair set and the drums placed and started making some noise. Works perfect! No latency I can tell. I have a couple i5 laptops and a couple ones running Windows ...

Re: invisible light camera modification DIY (also for sale)
Our drummer uses a Roland Octapad with two additional trigger bars, bass drum trigger, actual snare and hi-hat. I'm the guitar player in the band, not the drummer. I've been a drummer since 1962...OUCH!

Re: invisible light camera modification DIY (also for sale)
I'm sorry everyone. I'm in two bands and we are rehearsing for upcoming performances. Plus, we had relatives from Idaho. I will get it set up and working. I printed out set-up guide sheets from Aerodrums to get it going. We are adding bass and keys to this band. Native American Flute trio. Evolution...

Re: High Latency
That's GREAT information. It just goes to show when it comes to latency you just never know. I don't know if it applies anymore but a computer's internal highway, or buss, is one of the keys to latency. You need speed at every point in processing from the processor, video, and buss. Nuno also added ...

Re: High Latency
Dell laptops, and actually all Dell computers are business computers and not music computers. My friend bought two Inspiron laptops to run DJ software on and both skipped. We found that running on battery only there were no skips in the music. We also found that if you took the battery out and ran o...

Re: invisible light camera modification DIY (also for sale)
The plan it to create videos or pictures of my progress. As you can see the DC adapter is 240V so can't use that here in the USA. I ordered five correct 12V DC converters from Amazon for about $15. They will be here Monday. I should be able to start hooking things up and shooting some little videos ...
