Software Graphic/Screen Layout

Post by RedDwarfPlanet » Fri Jul 07, 2017 7:58 pm

Software 1.0.23 installed. Testing on Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Aerodrums layout is slightly skewed. In the case of the initial infomation and the configuration screens, the text is quite large and the option buttons off-window ( though accessible, sort of, by haphazard guesswork. Issue stays no matter which graphic resolution is chosen. Suggestions ( sensible, perferably! ;o) ) to rectify this little irritation, much appreciated!

For your reference, if it helps any, am running Aeordrums on an old Dell Inspirion 3520-7345, with Intel HD Graphics ( Device ID: 8086-0106, Rev. A, Driver version 9.17.10.4459 )

Cheers!

Could you tell me if you closed Aerodrums before changing screen resolution, and restarted it after doing that?
If not, could you do this and choose a resolution with over 800 lines, then let me know the outcome?

Are you using any windows features to magnify the user interface? If so which ones and what setting are they on?

Hi,

Many thanks for the response, and the prompt ( kick ).. ;o)

Answer, as ever, was, as they say, under my nose, and I simply hadn't noticed.
Display scaling! It was being set automatically by Windows to what it thought
was the optimum for the resolution, which in this case it obviously wasn't!

Once the display scaling was set manually, the borderless windows fitted the
display, from 1024 x 768 upwards. Even when changing the resolution with
the Aerodrums application running.

One comment, scalable ( with borders ) Windows might have been good idea.

Thanks again for the prompt! ;o)

Chris.
