Own Samples

Post by Ringowig » Thu Jan 12, 2017 2:26 am

Hi,

I like the idea of experimenting with either my own recorded drum samples or a purchased sample pack. If I had a basic kick sample for instance say recorded with 3 velocity layers, what format does this have to be recorded in?..is it wav 16 bit?..

Any help gratefully received,

Cheers!

WAV is the safest. I couldn't get AIF to work so I converted it all to WAV

Yes, your samples should be in uncompressed WAV format - mono/stereo and 8/16/24 bit are all supported.
44100Hz is the native and therefore preferred sampling rate. Others are supported but will be converted to 44100Hz.

Thanks for the replies!...yes I've cracked it!..I had an issue but solved it by re-saving samples via Cool Edit...I've now got a 60s Rogers kit working well in Aerodrums :D ..beer time! ..:-)
