I'm not sure I fully understood. Did you want to route the audio from Aerodrums to another application that expects 48Khz audio or did you just have higher sound quality in mind? We could support 48kHz but since the samples that ship with Aerodrums are sampled at 44.1KHz, we would need to do our own sample rate conversion. The only case where it would make a difference is if you supply your own 48KHz samples.

Hi,
you got it!. I want to route the audio from Aerodrums to another application that expects 48Khz audio ONLY, the Ax Fx 2. What I am doing now is to route the aerodrums to the Window sound card and routing the midi to cubase, with loopB1e drivers and sampling EZdrummer drum kits. All I need to make it work is 48K. Any chance we'll see this in the near future as a option. Thanks K

Thanks for the info, I've logged the feature request and we'll look into how easy it will be for us to support.

Hello! I'm really loving Aerodrums, it's a fantastic idea that is very well done and has lots of headroom for expansion!
One feature I'd love to see, maybe already mentioned here (the xylophone question), is adding custom drums. Ie - Steel drums, timbales, claves, and I love the idea of adding hand drums as you mentioned, but obviously this will take a bit of brainstorming. (Gloves?)
In the mean time I will look into adding new drums in the manual. I'm not familiar yet with midi, but will soon be by looks of it :)

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but running Windows 7 home premium on a Lenovo i5 laptop, I get a popping sound randomly when hitting the Bass - typically lots of bass hits. Occurs Using earphones or speakers. Is this a known or is it an isolated issue?

Thanks again for all your hard work!
Matt

Thanks Matt. MIDI would definitely be the most convenient way to play around with custom sounds. However, setting up something like a xylophone would be tricky at the moment (more info in the 'xylophone question' thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=69). We have improvements to the MIDI interface on the way which will make it easy, for example, to add an element that triggers a specified MIDI note. We'll probably try set up a xylophone kit ourselves when we get a chance.

Regarding the popping issue, I can't say for sure without hearing what it sounds like but it could be that you have the buffer size on the Latency screen set too low and that your computer can't render the sound fast enough. However, given that you say it only happens when hitting the bass drum, it's more likely to be a problem with tracking the foot/shin markers. If you're not doing so currently I would suggest try playing heel down with the foot markers and see if it behaves more reliably. In general, you should ensure the coloured circles on the screen representing the positions of the markers are visible and don't pop in and out of view. If they do, you should try angling the markers so that they point more towards the camera, or experiment with how far up your foot you are wearing the foot markers.

Thanks Richard!
Also, I've been thinking about the lighting issue.
As the camera isn't moving, could you blank out the bright areas in red with a graphical cover, so it ignores those areas, and the user can simply move any drums away from those blanked areas?

What you describe is a feature we've strongly considered adding but were worried it may be confusing and frustrate users who find there are certain areas they can't "hit". We will probably add it as an advanced feature at some point since there are cases where it can be very useful.

Just a wee feature request... could the graphical setting persist between sessions? I need to run one of the lower settings and need to change it every restart.

Yes, we will fix this in the next software update.

I just read that replacement sensor balls are going to be available soon. I am wondering what the current stick size is that the aerodrums are being sold with? Any future plans to offer various sizes?
