OpenGL support

Post by metzchem » Fri Oct 14, 2016 9:03 pm

Hello,
I just tried to set up Aerodrums V1.1.21 and I am getting the OpenGL not supported error. The setup pages are blank with only "next" and "previous" buttons.
I purchased this computer (used) specifically for Aerodrums and it doesn't have any other software on it or anything. This is a DELL Optiplex 755 with 64-bit Intel Core 2 duo processor, windows 10 pro, Intel Q35 chipset integrated video driver which did not have any updates when I clicked "update drivers".

I'm not sure what to do! What can I do to get Aerodrums set up? The attached screenshots may be useful.

Sincerely,

Dustin

We have seen this error before. I believe it is caused by Intel dropping support for OpenGL 2.0 in their Windows 10 drivers for that particular graphics chipset.
I think my colleague Yann knows how to work around this. I will contact him.

Hello, did your computer come with Windows 10 installed, or did Microsoft get you to upgrade?

The problem you are having can usually be solved by making Windows 10 accept drivers released for earlier versions of Windows. Unfortunately the process is quite convoluted, and it has not affected many users, so I have given up writing a guide for it.
I am sending you a private message to arrange a remote assistance call if that's Ok.
