bring adrums into imovie/garage banc

Post by 4strokeeddie » Tue Aug 12, 2014 4:34 am

I'm creating a rap and need to bring a rythm into garage band.
Was wondering if adrums would allow me to create my own loop and bring in it
garage band. Since it's mac compatable I will assume that what's created in adrums will transfer
over to garage band. Am I correct in that?

Hello Ed, by adrums I presume you mean Aerodrums, because Aered is not yet released for Mac.
Aerodrums is a MIDI instrument so you can use it to drum straight into Garage Band. You just need to follow our instructions to allow Garage Band to receive Aerodrums' notes (take a look at the info and tutorial video here: http://aerodrums.com/using-aerodrums-wi ... -samplers/, the video is for Reaper, but you can easily find the equivalent settings in Garage Band).
This way you can record your rythm in GB and edit it there to make a loop out of it.

If you don't want to use MIDI, or prefer Aerodrums' samples to GB's, you also have the option to export what you drummed in Aerodrums as a .wav file and import it into GB.

I'll move this thread soon to the Aerodrums forum, unless you wanted to talk about Aered.
