I understand your frustration. We developed Aered before either it or Aerodrums were released and, as a small company, it has been challenging to maintain its development to the degree we hoped. As mentioned in another thread, we have worked on a new notation engine that was necessary to address many of the existing deficiencies. Unfortunately, this has required overhauling the Aered codebase so the work is far from complete.
It should not be too difficult to add a basic sticking feature to the current version of Aered. Since this is probably the most requested Aered feature, we will do our best to release an update with this feature in the next couple of months.
