Post by madmax » Sat May 21, 2016 12:34 pm

just enquiring if aerodrums also has a selection of different types of drum / kits , like steel drums, conga drums, timpani drum etc , or is it just one type of drum kit?

The drum kit pieces that are included are listed at the bottom of this page:
http://aerodrums.com/aerodrums-product-page/
You can mix and match these pieces to create custom kits in Aerodrums.
If you want timpani drums, congas or anything else there are two options:
  • - Use some other software that has the samples you're looking for and trigger them via MIDI
    - Source the samples yourself in .wav format and use them to create custom drum kit pieces in Aerodrums

Hi Paulo, it's the described in the manual here:
http://aerodrums.com/manual/#making-new-drums
You will need to provide samples in .wav format, e.g. that you recorded yourself or that you found online.

Here's a simple scenario. Let's say you wanted to add your own cowbell to Aerodrums. You could record a handful of samples of it at different volumes and save each sample as a .wav file in a common folder. Then from the Aerodrums drum kit editor screen you will be able to create a new element by pointing Aerodrums to the folder containing your .wav files and give it a name such as "My Cowbell". Aerodrums will automatically analyze the samples and sort them by volume, etc. Once this is done you will be able to add "My Cowbell" to any of your drum kits and it will behave the same as any of the premade elements that ship with Aerodrums.

I'll be happy to help if you have any more specific questions about this.

Nice, I didn't know this was possible.
I'm experimenting with samples from Goldbaby, they do sound quite good.
