It will be a free software update if you own Aerodrums.

Intriguing! I know nothing about VR / Occulus Rift etc etc but am fascinated at the prospect of playing in a virtual space. Would this product fit the criteria (apologies for the long URL but that is the product page from a Chinese Vendor):
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/VR-Virtu ... 41826b798a

At that price I would take a punt on it,if it was supported by a future software update on aerodrums.

Can anyone comment on this? It appears to be able to host various sized phones as well so one may not be limited to Samsung ones.

Thanks!

That is hell cheep, meaning the lenses are then most probbly pretty shuddy. Try a google cardboard and then try a rift or GearVR. The difference is between day and light. Yes it would work if AD is on google or Apk download, on Samsung you would need to turn it into a google cardboard with a magnet. Just wait a little, this is not new but new for the consumer market. wait for the new oculus and other competitors coming this year.
I had DK1, Dk2, GearVR Note4 and now GearVR s6. Still waiting for consumer version. Soon!

BTW. youe will still need your computer to run the software and ps3 which willl then be streamed to your headset. Maybe later smartphones and tablets wil do it all on their own. It should already be possible, but with new software having to be written first.

Thanks. When you mention the PS3, do you mean that I would need an additional Playstation 3 to run the aerodrums with my laptop, VR headset and mobile phone? Or just the PS3 camera that aerodrums already uses?

Just the PS3 camera. No Playstation required
