'Too Bright' when I put light on camera?

Hey,

Just got my aerodrums today, but can't use them at all. Whenever I put the light on the camera it says 'Room too bright', but it's just because you can see the light glow around the sides of the camera.
I had some joy when I put the light to the side of the camera, then it worked temporarily. I've been trying for about 2 hours now and it's driving me crazy! I've made sure that the camera is on 'blue' and everything. What am I doing wrong?
