PS3 Camera issues Win10

Post by Volruk » Mon Jan 15, 2018 2:21 pm

Greetings,

I've recently purchased the Aerodrums kit and was looking forward to trying it out; however, I have been unable to get the PS3 camera that comes with the kit to work through the program. :(

The camera itself is operational through CL-Eye software but cannot be detected by Windows 10 with native drivers or the ones the 'aerodrums-camera-installer.exe' installs. I've tried uninstalling all camera related drivers, reinstalled Aerodrums, ran the camera installer as admin, but to no success.

Looking for ideas on how to get this thing to work. If any specs are needed or system dumps, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Aerodrums won't be able to install its camera drivers if the CL-Eye driver is present.
Could you try once more to follow the steps here:
http://aerodrums.com/fixit/#acb
making sure to plug in the camera at the right time when prompted during installation.

If that doesn't work, can you follow the steps after "If the problem persists, follow these further steps" here:
http://aerodrums.com/fixit/#aca

I realise you said you tried this already but I think it's worth trying once more. If you can't get it to work please send me a private message and we can arrange a support call.

By the way, if Aerodrums doesn't detect the camera after a reboot the fix for this is to unplug the camera from the USB port and plug it back in. We have seen this happen on some Windows 10 computers.

Hi Stephen, you didn't do anything wrong. The camera driver that is installed by Aerodrums is specific to Aerodrums. It isn't a general driver that will work with Skype, etc.

My camera shows RED STREAKS ALL OVER THE SCREEN.

I have tried many different seating and camera positions but My Aerodrums are NOT responding like the original Aerodrums and it's driving me to the NUT HOUSE!

It sounds like there is an issue with your Aerodrums lamp. I am sending you a pm so you can e-mail me a screenshot to confirm the issue, then I can explain how to fix it.

Hello Richard, is there a way to install some drivers to use the camera out of Aerodrums software without breaking Aerodrums ?
I'm on iOS.
Thanks
