Playing on my custom "Rock-Kit" I discovered that "hitting the drums" in a very soft manner they sound more open and have a longer tone. "Hitting the drums" harder, the sound turns flat, snare changes to rim-shot.
I already discovered that I can change the snare drums to a version where I have no rim-shot. But in general I would like to know how I can change the parameters of the snare, toms and bass drum so that I get a sound that has a longer tone and sounds more open.
Does anybody have experience with the drum parameters or could you, Richard, give some recommendation? That would be very helpful!
Many thanks in advance!
P.S.: Any news on the brushes / rods udate?

Re: Sound of the drums
Unlike some of the more advanced VST drum plugins, Aerodrums doesn't currently have any features that let you shape the sound of the drums. This is something we might consider adding but for now you might want to take a look at MIDI-based alternatives to the Aerodrums samples. Products like Addictive Drums 2 and Superior Drummer 3 provide extensive control over the sound of each drum and can be triggered through Aerodrums.
Myself and Yann agreed that we would try to release the brush samples before the end of the year. As I mentioned before there is a decent bit of work to do to get the samples ready but you can expect them relatively soon.

How did you do this?Frolic wrote:I already discovered that I can change the snare drums to a version where I have no rim-shot.

The preset drum kits use an element called "12in bop snare". There is also an element called "12in bop snare (no rimshots)" that you can use if you don't want to hear rim-shots on accented hits.
