Question re: Selling aerodrums

Post by slavedave » Thu Aug 31, 2017 2:28 pm

Had a quick search through the forums but couldn't find an answer so...

Am I able to sell my Aerodrums to another buyer? If yes, what do I need to do regarding the software authorisation phase - do I pass on my own authorisation code or will the prospective buyer have to contact Aerodrums for their own unique code?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave

PS. Haven't sold them yet but have had them up for sale. Just realised that this may not even be permissible, so out of courtesy, I thought I had better make contact with you.

Hi Dave, yes, it's okay to sell your Aerodrums along with the product key. The product key is for private use by the Aerodrums owner only. Therefore you should uninstall Aerodrums and destroy any copies of the product key once you pass it on to the new owner. Please make sure the new owner understands this too.

Richard,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I have to state that I have loved using Aerodrums - such an innovative product that served me perfectly when I wanted to practice but, because of the proximity to sleeping kids etc, a "real" electronic drum kit would have been too noisy. I now have a "Manshed" that I can locate an edrum kit into, so I don't have the same requirements that I used to have. In all likelihood, I will probably sell them to someone I know who has actually seen them in use ( I take them to rehearsals and play them live). They have continually raised eyebrows and challenged perceptions each time I have used them. That is not to distract from their playability and the sonic quality of the samples either.
Thanks to you both for your vision and endurance to get these up and into our (sweaty) paws!
