Tablet Latency

Does anyone know how to improve latency in a tablet?

I have a Linx 1010B low-cost tablet (Intel Atom 1.83GHz processor, 2Gb RAM, Windows 10) for use with Aerodrums.
It is brand new - I.e. hopefully there is nothing clogging up the system.
Only one option appears in the sound card sample rate: 16 bit, 48000Hz.
The recommended sample rate of 44100Hz (and presumably therefore WASAPI) is not available.
Latency is quite bad, and a similar situation for other tablets is reported in some other posts. I was wondering whether an external sound card might help, of which there are several available from Amazon, for example:

Sabrent, current price £5.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IRVQ0F8

Behringer, current price £22.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Behringer-UCA20 ... 000KW2YEI/

..or is there another solution?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello,

I am sorry we don't have much experience yet running Aerodrums on tablets. We should make it clearer that we would only recommend using tablets whose specifications are equivalent to that of consumer laptops made in the same year, because tablet specifications otherwise tend to be much lower than that of laptops.

The USB audio adapter is an option in your case, but there are a few things to be careful about:
-if the adapter's driver is also rudimentary, it may not allow for WASAPI either
-if the adapter's driver is not efficient, or your tablet is already struggling to process the high speed video coming from the camera via USB, it may put too much stress on the USB bus and cause the motion tracking to degrade (we don't consider Aerodrums usable if tracking below 120 frames per second)
-if your tablet doesn't have 3 USB ports, you may have to plug the lamp in a mains USB charge, because our experience has been that external USB hubs someties cause problems with the high speed video
-if your table doesn't have 2 USB ports, you may end up stuck for the reason above

We would be very grateful if you tested the cheap adapter you have found and reported on your experience. (None of us here own a Windows tablet.)
