Sensitivity/Volume values not saved

Post by Guzman » Fri Jun 16, 2023 6:14 pm

I just bought Aerodrums a week ago. I configured my drumkit and changed some settings for sensitivity and volume, hitting SAVE at the end. What happens is that, when I go to play Aerodrums the next day, all the sensitivity and volume settings are with the defalut values. This is never saved. Why?

Update: meanwhile, I noticed that this happens when I edit my drumkit. Those values reset to default.

I don't think we've seen this issue before. Assuming you're running on Windows, could you check the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Aerodrums\conf\drumkits" for the file whose name matches the name of your custom kit.

Then either check the contents of the file to see if it contains the new values you set for sensitivity/volume, or else check the timestamp of the file to see if it looks like it was updated. I'm wondering if Aerodrums has some issue writing to the file.

I tested again. It turns out it's only when readjust my drumkit. I'm sending some screenshots:

1- Set my pedal to 96% Sensitivity and 60% Volume
2- Edited my drumkit to have another element
3- Went to the drum screen where it asks me to place the drums
4- Started replacing them
5- The pedal reset to 20% Sensitivity and 80% Volume

Noticed that my cymbal settings was not saved either.

Thanks for that. It looks like this might be a bug.

Is it the case that, if you change the volumes/sensitivities of your elements after editing your kit and save it then it works as expected?

Yes. After editing and readjusting the drums, if I change the settings and save it, it will stay that way. Only when I do another reajusting of the drums is that they are reset to default.

Ok thanks. It is probably a bug. We will try to reproduce it ourselves.
