Camera not found on Windows Vista

Post by paulobucho » Sun May 10, 2015 7:51 pm

Hi!

I am installing Aerodrums on a Windows Vista PC.

The PSEye Camera is detected on the system, i already dowloaded the drivers. However Aerodrums does not detect it.

It shows on the system in audio and video controllers.

I took hours with this and nothing. The same camera works on a Windows 8.1 but not on this system.

What can i do?

Aerodrums uses its own driver for the camera. It is not compatible with other drivers downloaded from elsewhere (like the Code Laboratories driver for example).

You need to right click on the "PS3Eye Camera" entry in the device manager, then select properties, then in the driver tab, select uninstall.
Make sure you tick the box that says "remove driver files" before confirming the un-installing.
Now un-plug the camera and run the Aerodrums installer again (setup.exe), plug the camera in when asked by the installer and it will be able to install our driver.
