Hihat Range of Motion

Is there any way to shorten the stroke on the hihat foot? I have to raise my foot quite a ways to open the hihats. I would like less travel to open it if that's possible. I've messed with sensitivity but doesn't seem to make much difference on range of motion.

I'm having a ball with these drums and getting pretty good with them

Yes, while drumming you have to hit Menu, then Adjust Drums, then Pedals, then hit the hi-hats twice with your foot to select it, then use the range slider to lower the range.
