Drummer height? SOLVED(all my fault)

Post by Smasha » Sat Oct 18, 2014 4:36 am

Just wondering if you are over 6ft tall like I am,that Aerodrums don't play as well as being shorter?

When I line my body up perfectly in the setup diagram,my feet are off the bottom of the diagram.

I find hitting the small tom in front of me very hard like trying to find a very small target.

I usually end up making sounds from the snare and second tom.

Or is it just my technique?

P>S> I solved this by moving the camera onto a lower platform!

Doh doh doh.

My desk is quite high for a computer desk.

NOW I'm getting even more out of these drums!

Have you also tried to place your drums? This could improve things even more.

To do this, In the "Drum kits" screen, select your current kit then press the "Clone" button. Now go back to drumming and hit the "Menu" button. The adjust drums button should now be active, hit it then hit "place all drums". This lets you place your drums where you want them, including reach: you can place your high tom behind the snare by reaching further like you would on an acoustic kit (don't worry if they overlap on the screen, Aerodrums will understand that the snare is closer).

Thanks I will give that a try.

I had a really enjoyable play today all because I had the camera aligned properly.
