I just received my aerodrums today. I love it and thanks for the great product.
I'm thinking of getting a small dedicated windows "tablet" type for aerodrums. It is Nov. 2017 now and with better specs the current aerodrums version, will it have any latency issues or screen issues like the one mentioned earlier where aerodrum application is too big for the tablet screen.? Can we tell from the specs if it is good for aerodrums?
I'm thinking of getting this https://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_372954.html HIGOLE GOLE1 5 inch 720 x 1280 Mini PC.
Here're some details of the specs :

5 inch screen 720 x 1280 Pixels
System: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Cherry Trail Z8350
Core: 1.84GHz,Quad Core
GPU: Gen 8 Graphics
RAM: 4G
ROM: 64G
System Bit: 64Bit

Appreciate if anyone have this "tv box" or anything similar and can share your experience.
Thanks

We have successfully used cheap Windows 10 tablets ourselves to run Aerodrums. I'm not sure of the specs though...I will try to find out next week.

Hi !

I'm very interested in any cheap W10 tablet that I could use with Aerodrums.

I wanted to use my old netbook, but didn't remember it was so old... so it doesn't work, and by the way the screen is not big enough.

Do you have any information about the specs ?

Thank you for your great work ^^

Here are the specs of the Windows 10 tablet we use.

Screen size: 10.1"
Screen resolution: 1280 x 800
CPU: Quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F
RAM: 2GB
Storage: 32GB
USB: 2 x USB Type-A

It's a Linx 1010 tablet.
Here is a link to the manual: http://linxtablets.com/manuals/LINX1010_Guide.pdf
Amazon UK seems to be listing them for £224 but we were able to find ours for under £100.
The downside of this tablet is that we had to use a cheap USB sound card to get Exclusive WASAPI working and for some reason, some of the tablets had audio problems in which case we had to resort to using ASIO4ALL.

So I'm not sure I'd recommend this particular tablet but the specs above will give you an idea of what's sufficient.

Is there any news on this topic? I think it is a great idea to imrove the portability of aerodrums.
I am currently thinking about buying a refurbished linx1010 or an 8'' Windows10/Android5.1-Tablet.
Does anyone have any further experience with these cheap Windows 10 tablets?

Maybe this one could fit also:
https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/tablet ... t+101+2in1
https://www.amazon.de/Windows-10-1-IPS- ... B01ND0S990

As one can see from the pictures it seems to have one regular and one mini USB port. So with a USB HUb it should work fine.
Integration of WiFi seems to be weak.

Richard wrote in https://aerodrums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1018:
"We hope to release the 3D/VR update in January/February. The first release should support Windows (with or without Oculus Rift) and Mac. Soon after that we will release for Android (with or without Gear VR) and iOS."
Hence it will be best to wait for the new update in January/February.
