It is clear that we at Aerodrums, like everyone else who cares, are trying to understand why and how air drumming works as best as we can.
In the meanwhile, there are a lot of drummers out there who are inclined to dismiss the whole concept of an air drumming instrument out of hand. They won't have considered what happens in practice when you air drum with a stick, and few of them will be physicists. So we have to meet them somewhere, and rebound is the word they always use to back up their scepticism. We need to meet them on their ground to start a conversation.
It's great that people like you, Wolfgang, and others, are helping us get to the bottom of what a good air drumming technique is, how to explain it, and how it relates to drumming on a surface. But please do it constructively and with the general public in mind.
