Aerodrums and Aered forums

Hi Guys,

I'm not yet a user of aerodrums. I will probably soon order one.

I'm wondering : Rather than having a light attached around the camera, why can't we have high-power leds at the end of the drumsticks ?
(Same, high-power-leds on the foot attachements). So 4 leds only.

Would that work ? Any IR camera in the works ?

yes it would work to have light sources on the sticks and feet, though they could not be simply a LED as this would not allow to have several layers of drums in reach.
There is an IR camera in the works, we don't have an ETA. When it is released, existing customers will not have to re-purchase Aerodrums, they will be able to get it at a lower price if they want it.

I understand the software trick. Clever .
So if we have a high-power led in a "glowing" plastic sphere, it should be big enough so aerodrum can detect it. What you need a big sphere of light seen from the camera
But wait... That's the sphere of the PlayStation Move !!!

Good to know an IR camera is in the works.

I'll probably order soon.
