Dear Forum members,

After a long wait, we finally have a new update to the Aerodrums software. On PC, simply run the updater that was installed with Aerodrums. On Mac, go to the Aerodrums software page at http://aerodrums.com/installer/, enter your product key and download and run the v1.0.14 updater.

Some of the main changes in this update include:
  • * Hi-hat drop clutch feature that allows you to set how open the hi-hat is when your foot is not on the hi-hat pedal.
    * The ability to "splash" the hi-hat by tapping your foot half way.
    * Experimental cymbal choking feature where moving a stick into a certain position will cause cymbals to choke.
    * Support for ASIO (on Windows) and the ability to select which sound card to use.
A full list of changes is available at http://aerodrums.com/aerodrums-change-log/

We had mentioned that support for brushes would be released after NAMM, but we decided to put some more work into improving this before releasing it. The new samples are ready and sweeping is working well but we have a few more ideas we want to experiment with before finalising this feature. We will release it soon, along with an overhaul of the MIDI configuration that will provide more flexibility.

Happy air drumming!

Sincerely,

Richard and Yann

Very nice.

I have since bought Superior Drummer 2 and the New York studios 3 add on and it works a charm with Aerodrums.

Look forward to trying the new features.

This update is from march 2015. Is this the last one?

At that time you were talking.about releasing more "soon."
Is there a new one?
Whats the changelog?

I'm sorry about this. While there have been many minor releases since then, we haven't kept the changelog up to date as these releases have not added new features, they have only added additional language support and various bugfixes. We will try to go back and add the missing changelog entries. I know it's been a while since we've had a substantial update to add features we said we would. We will get it out as soon as we can.
