Camera sensitivity

Hi,

I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere so here it is. Would it be possible to have a camera sensitivity control? I know you have sensitivity controls already but this would address the problem of too much background light when playing in some daylight or performance situations. I realize that dialing down the overall sensitivity would not help with stray "hard" reflections but it could reduce general glare and make the reflectors the brightest things in the scene. I guess I could set up a black curtain behind me, wear black clothes, etc. but that would just add more to to the setup.

Thanks

Hello, sorry for the late reply.

We do have plans to provide an interface to make the camera ignore some bright spots that cannot be easily avoided.
About camera sensitivity, the main problem is that reducing it so that you can drum in brighter environments will reduce the reach you can have with your sticks. This is because the markers appear only so bright to the camera, and appear less bright the further they are from the center of the camera frame. When a bright background appears brighter than the marker at a specific location, it will be the case at any camera sensitivity setting.

Background lighting is the main limitation of Aerodrums and we are researching ways to remove it. In the meanwhile, if the room or stage you need to drum in/on is bright, we will help you with customisations if you email or pm us.
