Is there a way to control the grouping of 8th notes, so that it appears similar to the score in the top section of this screenshot... ?



Also as a feature request, Id love a way to highlight a bar in the top view somehow, when you are viewing it in the editor pane.
Right now if you are working a lot with duplicate bars, its sometimes hard to see which bar you are actually editing
You can of course doubleclick it in the top view to make sure, but highlighting it would be a lot nicer

Sorry, unfortunately there is no way currently to override the automatic grouping of eight notes.

Regarding being able to see which bar you're editing in the layout (topmost) pane, we do draw a red box around the quarter note being edited. In case you can't see it because the bar you're editing is out of view in the layout pane, you can re-center the layout pane on the bar you're editing by pressing 'l' or clicking on the rightmost icon under each bar (the icon that looks like an eye).
