Repeating/Looping bars...

Hi,

I have a couple of feature requests. My most common use case for practicing is to loop one or two bars, what is the best way to do that? I can't see an obvious way of specifying the number of times to repeat a bar, and only solution I can see is to add bar repeats over and over, which becomes cumbersome if the bar I want to loop is in the middle of a song.

I've also tried exporting to wav and leaving it on repeat but the outputs contain a small amount of whitespace (around 1 second) at the end so the clip doesn't cleanly repeat.

Secondly I have also more than once loaded a previous aer file, modified it significantly and then closed Aered and lost all my edits. Obviously my fault but be nice if Aered recognised it had changed and prompted to save before exiting.

Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks Dave, the ability to specify a repeat count will probably come in the next update.

Regarding your lost changes, Aered should display a yes/no/cancel message box asking you if you want to save changes before quitting.
When you open your .aer file, the title bar at the top of the Aered window will display the name of the file you opened.
As soon as you make an edit an asterisk will then appear before the file name to indicate that you have unsaved changes.
If you try to quit when the asterisk is showing it will prompt you.
It would be great if you can tell me if this happens on Windows or on Mac and what steps are necessary to reproduce the problem.

Is the repeat count in the program? It would be super convenient to have this feature and/or an infinite loop count. It would be great for practising and composing as well.

No, unfortunately this feature has not yet been added.
