Re: Mac version distribution method
Yes the Mac version will be available from the website, using the registration code you get in the box, at no extra cost. It will install the samples from the DVD. There will be no extra cost for the MIDI update either. There hasn't been demand yet but we expect to have to make a download only versi...

Re: 2hour of testing
Great to hear it met your expectations. I have to say we're not avid Facebook users as you probably noticed. We'll try to update the Aerodrums page there, but the best way to receive updates is to subscribe to the mailing list (in the right column on the main page). We'll only send stuff about Aerod...

Re: Feature requests
Bermuda, sorry for the late reply, we have been very busy with the Aerodrums launch. When hovering over a note, you can change it to a flam by pressing the f key. Is the resulting symbol what you were hoping for? Rolls and non quarter note based time signatures will come later. Thank you for trying ...

Re: Mac version
That's great, thank you. I wouldn't hold my breath about VirtualBox because Aerodrums uses a custom driver for the camera, so VB would need to do an amazing job at hardware virtualization (from wikipedia, VB has a "closed-source extension pack [that] adds a USB 2.0 controller", you would need it). I...

Re: Mac version
Hampus, yes the Mac version will use the same hardware and the activation codes that come in the box. A Mac installer will be available from the website. norhythm reported he has been able to run Aerodrums fine on a 2008 Mac Book pro using bootcamp and Windows 7, so that's definitely an option if yo...

Re: Feature requests
tim, sorry I haven't replied yet. If live MIDI output was provided, including on recording playback, (we are working on it), would you still consider exporting a recording as a MIDI file a must have feature?

Re: Specifications
GilesDH, thank you for writing up your first experience. About the small lights issue, we considered an automatic masking mode, but it didn't make it to release because we were worried it could be confusing (because it creates blind areas where you can't hit drums). I am adding it to the feature req...

Re: Auto panning mode L/R reversed?
northythm, I couldn't reproduce this issue here.
Can you confirm that the sound from drums placed on your left comes predominantly from the right earbud of your headphones? (You can try the cross stick on one of the big kits or place a drum even further left if needed).

Re: Feature requests
mba, this may not be very easy with a desktop setup, but the length of the camera cable (about 2 meters) enables you to drum fairly near to your screen by placing the camera further back (see http://aerodrums.com/manual/#setting-up-the-hardware , last paragraph for an illustration). Making the camer...

Re: First test
mba, the audio buffer latency is not the same thing as the framerate. It is good that you are able to set your audio buffer latency very low. The framerate should however be stable at 125 fps +- 1 (green indicator) for the best drumming experience. We are about to release an update to lower the comp...
