Re: Need Help with Mac midi out

Hi Marc, I'm pretty sure the step you skipped is the one that is accounting for the high latency. In DP8, can you try choose Setup -> Configure Audio System -> Configure Hardware Driver and change the buffer size to be as low as possible. Try 128 for starters and see if that works. The lower you can...

Re: FLAC support

We are certainly open to adding support for more formats. We'll need to first investigate what it entails to decode a FLAC file. If it's not too much work we will see if we can add it in soon. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Low frame rate

Changing your graphic card's vsync option won't affect performance if your frame rate is already less than 60. Two things to try: 1. Try run Aerodrums in both full-screen and windowed modes (there is a toggle button in the lower left corner of the window). 2. Try press Control+g to cycle between low...

Re: Where do I find installation folder in Windows

Supporting 48KHz is quite low on our list of priorities. We haven't had any more requests for it and it is not entirely straightforward - it would require converting our 44.1KHz samples to 48KHz offline and this is a process that would take more than a minute of computation time and require an extra...

Re: Inserting accents

Hi, welcome to the forums. Here are some answers... 1. There are Open (ctrl+o), Save (ctrl+s) and Save As buttons on the left of the window. If you try to quit Aered with unsaved changes you will be prompted to save them. In case I'm misinterpreting your question and you want Aered to automatically ...

Re: Round robin

We're not doing anything special. The main reasons it feels good are because we have a very large number of velocity layers per drum/cymbal and we also have different samples for the left and right hands. Unlike Aerodrums, practically none of the VST drum samplers we've seen allow you to specify the...

Re: Feature requests

What you describe is a feature we've strongly considered adding but were worried it may be confusing and frustrate users who find there are certain areas they can't "hit". We will probably add it as an advanced feature at some point since there are cases where it can be very useful.

Re: Feature requests

Thanks Matt. MIDI would definitely be the most convenient way to play around with custom sounds. However, setting up something like a xylophone would be tricky at the moment (more info in the 'xylophone question' thread: http://aerodrums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=69 ). We have improvements to t...
