The only supported format is WAV - uncompressed, 8/16/24-bit, mono or stereo (multichannel is also supported for 24-bit), any sample rate (will be converted to 44100Hz).

If you have files that don't load, Audacity (https://www.audacityteam.org/) will be able to convert them to a format that does.

Currently we enumerate the available audio devices at start up - we don't have support for "hot plugging" so adding/removing devices while the program is running won't behave correctly.
